Larger vessels such as cruise liners can anchor just outside the harbour entrance and land passengers via tender to our modern and secure pontoons in the heart of the village.
We now welcome cruise ships to Tarbert each year, with Fred Olsen’s Boudicca returning for the 3rd consecutive year, amongst others.
Tarbert Harbour is home to a CalMac ferry, permanently berthed along from the fish quay. A regular ferry service runs from Tarbert to Portavadie throughout the year.
Waverley is the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world. Every summer, she stops at East Pier in Tarbert on a weekly basis, allowing passengers to come ashore and explore the village, while others aboard to cruise Loch Fyne for a few hours.
Tickets can also be obtained from the local visitor information centre.
Both the Vic 32 puffer and Splendour stop in to Tarbert regularly. If you would like to enquire about berthing your passenger boat, large or small, or make arrangements to tender into the village, please contact the Harbour Office.
