The Royal Scottish Motor Yacht Club certainly know how to party, and each year, they throw a big one here in Tarbert.
Fifteen to twenty boats arrive on Friday to make the most of what the village has to offer before dancing to a DJ in the marquee on Saturday night, and cruising away again on Sunday.

The third year (already!), the Kilberry Loop Sportive is an authorised event through Scottish Cycling. The Sportive starts from Tarbert, and travel anti-clockwise on the A83 for approximately 8 miles before turning left onto the B8024, a quiet, single track road which has a variety of climbs with spectacular views. Previous years have seen themes such as "Pirates of the Clyde" from this sociable yacht club. They will return again this year with approximately 20 boats for more crazy games on the recreation area and fun around Tarbert!

The Paddle Steamer Waverley is the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world. Every summer, she stops at East Pier in Tarbert on a weekly basis, allowing passengers to come ashore and explore the village, while others aboard to cruise Loch Fyne for a few hours.
