Seasonal Harbour Assistant Post

Tarbert Harbour is looking for a Seasonal Harbour Assistant to join our small team from April - September.

Our position offers a fantastic opportunity for a candidate to be trained on the job, in the hopes that they develop and acquire a desirable working skillset.

A flexible approach to working hours is expected as evenings and weekend work will be required during the summer period.

We are looking to start training the ideal candidate in April, in the hopes that they can join our team before the summer season commences.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Assist in day-to-day Reception and Chandlery operations:

• Answering phone calls & taking reservations/bookings
• Greeting, welcoming, and serving customers
• Efficient check-in and check-out of guests
• Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail deliveries
• Ensuring appearance of Reception/Chandlery is maintained to a high standard.
• Adhere to a range of harbour procedures, policies, and standards to provide a customer-focused service.
• Flexible in assisting with outside harbour maintenance activities.

Essential Candidate Requirements:

• Good customer service attitude.
• Willing to work weekends during the summer.
• Can begin training from April.
• Enthusiastic and are willing to increase skillset.
