NEW COVID 19 GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS

From Tuesday 5th January 2021, Scotland has entered a full lockdown due to the increasing spread of the Coronavirus.

The new restrictions again mean that it has become law for everyone to stay at home if they can and restrict travel, unless for a totally essential purpose.

Although the new restrictions are in place at present for the whole of January 2021, the Government has made clear that it cannot rule out keeping them in place for longer.

As always the safety of our customers, community and staff is of the upmost importance to us and with this in mind, we would therefore urge that you once again follow Government advice/law.

Please be assured however, that Harbour staff will be on site and will be checking on all boats.

If you wish to contact the Harbour Office, the new office opening hours will be:

Daily from 0900 - 1100 and 1400 – 1600.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if there is something specific you would like us to check on your boat.

Thank you for your co-operation and we trust that we can all look forward to better times ahead and an enjoyable season on the water once more.

Stay safe everyone.

Port Manager/Harbour Master

Loch Fyne Community Biosecurity Action Plan

We would like to remind users of Loch Fyne to stay vigilant for the invasive species known as Carpet Sea Squirt – Didemnum vexillum – which is now present in Scottish waters.

"Carpet Sea Squirt can grow rapidly to cause heavy biofouling with impacts for boats and infrastructure and it can smother immobile species including farmed shellfish as well as natural features."

For more information and a factsheet on what to do if you find evidence of Carpet Sea Squirt, please download the PDF Here.
